Homemade Burgers with Halloumi and Guacamole


You will need:

  • 1 Large avocado chopped.
  • 2 medium soft tomatoes chopped.
  • 1 red onion chopped finely.
  • ½ chilli chopped finely.
  • 2 tbsp. fresh coriander.
  • 1 fresh lime for juice.
  • Ground salt & pepper.

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Squeeze lime juice into mixture, and season with salt and pepper.


Burgers (Makes 4)


You will need:

  • 500g extra lean beef mince.
  • 1 chopped onion.
  • ½ chopped chilli.
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped.
  • 2 tbsp. mixed herbs.
  • 1 egg.

Add all the ingredients into mixing bowl and using a fork mix until its starts to stick. Then separate into 4 equal amounts and shape into burgers. Cook with low calorie oil spray.

While burgers are cooking, I grill a slice of Halloumi cheese and dress my plate with some salad. I also add some mustard for that extra bit of flavour. This burger is by far nicer than any takeaway burger I have ever had.
